Augmentin Suspension is a diuretic medication used to treat fluid retention (edema) in people with heart and lung conditions. It helps the body get rid of extra salt and water for energy and maintenance of blood pressure. It is also used to treat certain types of hypertension (high blood pressure) when a healthy diet and exercise alone do not adequately reduce fluid levels in the body.
Dosage
The recommended dosage is one dose of Augmentin Suspension with a liquid form (250 mg), taken as prescribed, with or without food. Do not take a double dose to make up for the dose that was missed. Swallow the medicine whole, do not chew or crush it. Augmentin Suspension should be taken twice daily at the same time of day. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to the normal schedule. Do not take both doses at the same time. Do not take more or more or treat the medicine more than prescribed. Keep the medicine in the container it came in, tightly closed and keep it out of reach of children. Store it at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture (not in the bathroom).
